Agriculture --  Green Party brief


The miles which imported food amasses must be drastically cut back. Incentives must be given for our farmers to grow more of the crops we presently expensively --at least for the planet… - import.

The average Christmas meal travelled 30,000 miles to get to us last year !

Agriculture must become re-integrated into localities.

The Green Party is keen to encourage the local sales of local produce such as the use of box schemes and farmers' markets.

We must withdraw from the CAP in its current form.
